Sydney, 2022-03-10 12:57:23. Amanda Bynes thanks her fans in her quest to end her tenure
Amanda Bynes thanks her supporters as she prepares to try to end her court-ordered guardianship.
The “All That” star posted a short video on Instagram recently.
“What’s up on Instagram, Amanda Bynes is here,” she said. “My trial date is coming up in two weeks. I want to thank you all for your love and support. Peace is out.”
The former actress is trying to end the nearly nine-year tutelage that was first put in place in 2013 when Bynes was experiencing some personal difficulties.
The star’s attorney, David A. Esquipias, for People: “Amanda wishes to end her tutelage.” She believes that her condition has improved and that court protection is no longer necessary.”
Her mother served as her guardian and is in favor of ending it, according to a recent report from NBC.
“The parents are happy and excited to have this good news,” Tamar Armenak, a lawyer for Bynes’ parents, told NBC last month. “Professionals say she is ready to make her own life choices and decisions and is very proud of them.”
Bynes’ move to end her tenure comes four months after a judge ended custody of singer Britney Spears for 13 years.
