L.A, 2022-06-28 06:38:36. ER star Marie Mara drowns in New York
Marie Mara, an actress known for her roles in “ER” and “Ray Donovan,” said in a statement to CNN that her manager, Craig Dorfman, has passed away. She was 61 years old.
“Mary was one of the best actresses I’ve ever met,” Dorfman said. “I still remember seeing her on stage in 1992 in ‘Mad Forest’ Off-Broadway. She was electric, fun, and real personal. Everyone loved her. We’ll miss her.”
According to a New York State Police press release, officers responded to a call on Sunday at approximately 8:10 a.m. local time for a “possible drowning.” Troops and a Cape Vincent Fire and Rescue Vehicle arrived at the scene and “discovered the death of a woman in the Saint Lawrence River,” the bulletin said.
“Initial investigation indicates that the victim drowned while swimming,” the police said.
The police added in their statement that there were no signs of tampering. The Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to perform an autopsy to determine the official cause of death, according to police.

Mara’s film credits have included “Mr. Saturday Night” and “Love Potion #9.” Her latest credit was for the 2020 movie, “Break Even.”
