“[The] The dramatic turn of events this week with the rapid spread of the Omicron variant has, once again, changed everything. We are appalled by what appears to be another major public health crisis, and due to the discovery of so many positive cases of COVID-19 within the company – we need to prioritize the health and safety of the cast, crew and entire cast on Jagged Little Pill,” the producers said in a statement. “In light of the extreme uncertainty that awaits us this winter, and having to choose between continuing offers and protecting our company, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors.”
The musical’s last performance was on December 17th. Mobile production will head to Australia in the new year.
Amid the Omnicron wave, “Aladdin” and “Hamilton” Broadway canceled shows until after Christmas.
