TORONTO – The Canadian National Ballet has canceled the remaining performances of The Nutcracker due to COVID-19.
CEO Barry Higson says there have been “COVID-19 hacks within the company’s ranks”.
He says ticket holders have been contacted and offered several options, including a full refund.
Shows were scheduled to run in Toronto until New Years Eve.
The ballet company said all the cast and crew working at The Nutcracker have received full vaccinations.
The Canadian National Ballet first performed the Nutcracker in 1995.
