Actor Vachik Mangassarian has died of complications from COVID-19, according to his manager.

He was 78 years old.

His manager, Valerie McCaffrey, told CNN that Mangassarian, an actor who has appeared on two NCIS shows: Los Angeles and The Mentalist, has been vaccinated.

He was last filming an upcoming movie with Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda called Moving On. He posted pictures of himself with the actresses on Facebook.

Manjasarian, an Iranian-born Armenian, moved to Los Angeles when he was a young man. He was working as a waiter when he got his first movie role in “The South’s Shark” in 1978.

His list of TV credits includes appearances in “JAG”, “NYPD Blue”, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and more. He also presented his own radio and television program, “Armenian National Network”.
